Episode notes
This week Allan reviews a book for small investors on the UK market. He also looks at an article on the housing sector and a podcast on AI.
Allan’s thought for the week
Allan considers the fact that lots of UK companies rely more on the US market than they do on their market here at home.
Book of the week
This week’s book is a guide to investing in small companies written by an experienced UK private investor.
It’s called
‘How To Become A Microcap Millionaire’, by Justin Waite. I listened to the audio version, narrated by the author, but I’m sure you can lay your hand on a print version at your book store of choice.
Article of the week
This week’s article comes from the Financial Times and is a reminder that the long awaited recovery in house builders and the housing sector may be further off than we keep being told.
Iran conflict darkens the outlook for house prices
Podcast of the week
This week’s podcast recommendation comes from The Economics Show and is called:
‘Is AI (finally) making us more productive? With John Burn-Murdoch and Sarah O’Connor’
