Episode notes
In this week’s podcast Allan reviews a book on personal finance, recommends an article on how to manage your cash, and shares some thoughts and a podcast on business analysis.
Allan’s thought for the week
Learning from failure is vital, but it’s not easy when it makes you so depressed.
Book of the week
If you think investing is fun but personal finance is boring, then join the club. Unfortunately, it is one of those things that we should all look at from time to time. So this week’s book recommendation, The Meaningful Money Handbook, is as good a guide as you are going to find out there. The author, Pete Mathew, through his videos, podcasts, and this book, manages to make the topic about as interesting as it can be. It is well worth a look.Money
Article of the week
This week’s article comes from the broker AJ Bell.
How to choose a money market fund
Podcast of the week
This week’s podcast recommendation comes from a podcast I picked up from the author of last week’s book. It’s called Business Leader, and the episode title is How Thierry Garnier turned around Kingfisher, owner of B&Q and Screwfix. It’s one of those business analysis podcasts and is well worth a listen.
